How to Open Multiple Skype Instances in Windows 7
If you are a Windows 7 user, first you need to check your system type, whether it is 32-bit operating system or 64-bit operating system.
How can you check this?
Right-click on My Computer icon > Click on Properties. You can find the system type under the system. Once you find out the version of your operating system, you can follow the suitable command for your OS. The remaining process will be same for these two types of system except the command itself.
Open the run command box by using the Win + R key combination (alternatively, you can type “run” at the Start menu search box and click on the result from the start menu).
Now, execute the following command from the Run command box. Make sure that you’ve chosen the proper command according to your OS version.
Command for 32-bit Operating System : "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\skype.exe"/Secondary
Command for 32-bit Operating System : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\skype.exe"/secondary
I have installed Skype in C drive, but if you’ve installed it on another drive then replace “C” with the drive where you have installed Skype.
A new Skype window will appear in front of you. So, now you can get two Skype Windows and you can easily access both accounts simultaneously.
By following this process, you can run multiple Skype accounts from your laptop or desktop with windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 operating system.
